Busan International Film Festival(BIFF) is held from 21 to 30, October at Busan Cinema Center.
Since its launch in 1996, BIFF is held in October every year, celebrating its 25th edition this year. Establishing itself as one of the most significant film festivals in Asia, BIFF has been taking a role in introducing a new vision of Asian cinema, especially focusing on those from Asian countries, as well as increasing the status of Korean films.
BIFF has provided various opportunities for audiences to meet filmmakers; however, due to COVID-19 circumstances, the 25th BIFF minimizes face-to-face interactions, focusing on film screening under the strict preventive measures. All events including opening and closing ceremonies is cancelled, but a wide range of programs including Asian Contents & Film Market, Asian Film Awards will be held online. Busan City of Film would like for all of you to take attention to this year’s festival!
